About Spirit & Place

The Spirit & Place Festival is unique among festivals. It is the only festival in the United States that promotes art, humanities, and religion. Each year, Spirit & Place has a theme (Body, Play, Risk, Dreams, etc.) and invites community organizations to create “never-seen-before” events on the theme. Organizations are required to collaborate with other organizations and venues in Central Indiana.

Spirit & Place is a project of The Polis Center,  a center in the IU School of Liberal Arts at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
